Happy Sunday my loves! With the sun coming out and the weather getting warmer, it's time to switch up my skin-care routine. Today we are going to discuss some Ole Henriksen. I received yet another complimentary Vox Box from Influenster! Influenster, I would just like to start off by saying thank you so much for allowing me to try and test new products. It really does give me the opportunity to play with products that I typically would not pick out for myself! The product that they kindly sent to me is the Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel VoxBox. If you'd like to hear more of my thoughts on this product, please continue reading!

So I am a huge moisturizer junkie. As I've mentioned before, I do have eczema and suffer from extremely dry skin at times. My usual go-to cream is First Aid Beauty moisturizers, but they are quite heavy creams that I usually grab for during the wintertime. The O.H C-Rush gel is the perfect summertime counterpart. The first thing that hit me when I opened the jar up (which if I may say, is really great and sturdy packaging) was this beautiful smell of citrus orange and cream took me back to my childhood. It smelled exactly like orange creamsicles, which were my favorite growing up!

Now the texture of this gel is still quite thick compared to other gel moisturizers. It honestly is more so in the middle between a gel and a cream. It is nice and thick while still giving a lightweight nourishing feel. I have used it everyday since I have received it and have incorporated it into my daily skin-care and makeup routine. I would say it wears really well under makeup and doesn't feel like it makes my makeup glide anywhere.

This product claims to help brighten your skin with the help of Vitamin C. On the Sephora website, it claims to help with "Dryness, Fine lines and wrinkles, and Loss of firmness and elasticity". I definitely feel like the transition between the seasons really affected my skin. I noticed that I had a lot of dullness in my skin tone. I feel that after using this product quite consistently really did help brighten and tone my skin. It definitely helps battle dryness, but I am still testing it out to see if it holds up for the other claims it made.

Overall this product has been a key component of my daily routine. I 100% do see myself repurchasing it ($44 on Sephora) as I always need a good moisturizer. For now I will be setting aside my absolute favorite First Aid Beauty creams and will be using this gel all summertime long! Thank you for stopping by and I hope this review was helpful!
Long time no see my loves! I know, I know... I've been MIA. Life has hit me with so many unforeseen obstacles, and also a lot of beautiful blessings, so I've definitely been focusing on a lot of others things, which I will catch you up on on a later blog post!

Now what we're going to get into today is another VoxBox I received complimentary from Influenster. I received the L'Oréal Paris Pure-Sugar Scrub VoxBox. I have a lot of thoughts in regards to this product. My first initial thought was “a sugar scrub.... for my face?!” Now ya girl loves herself a good lip scrub, but I had some reservations about this product being an exfoliant for the face. The first thing that popped into my mind was the notorious apricot scrub that everyone swore by. Now I will not mention the brand, but I'm sure a lot of you know exactly what product I'm referring to. That apricot scrub is a nightmare. It basically goes against everything that exfoliation is supposed to be about! It is harsh, chunky, and will literally leave abrasions on your skin if you are not careful. I would know because I used to use it as well.  Now I am a huge believer of exfoliating. There are a lot of positives to exfoliating dead, dry skin, but there IS such a thing as OVER-EXFOLIATING. The point of exfoliating it to gently rub off the layer of dead skin that we develop over time. The reason we do this is because there is no point in moisturizing already dead skin. Exfoliating correctly can help get rid of acne because it removes the dead skin away that can clog our pores. When we over-exfoliate, that can present even more skin issues. It can cause even more breakouts, skin sensitivity, and even redness. There are lots of literature on the internet about the pros and cons of exfoliating, but just keep in mind that most things are better when used in moderation, which is exactly how I feel about exfoliation and my daily skin-care routine.

Now in regards to this sugar scrub product, I was nervous about trying it because I needed a better idea of the texture. I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried this product out. It was very finely milled and unexpectedly smooth! It has been grind down to a very FINE sugar and feels more like a microdermabrasion scrub rather than the traditional clumpy sugar scrub. With any and every exfoliating product, you just have to be careful about the amount of pressure you apply when you massage it onto your face. Another bonus to this product is that it smells absolutely heavenly! It smells like warm vanilla and I definitely wanted to taste it when I used it haha! I would positively recommend this product to anyone. Not only does it work, but it surpassed a lot of my expectations and the price tag is very affordable. I also want to try the rest of their line (I saw there was a kiwi one!) Thank you again Influenster and L'Oréal Paris for giving me the opportunity to try such an amazing product! Again, do your research when it comes to these type of products because what will work for one person, may not work for the next. Thank you for stopping by!

Hi my loves! I know it's been a long while since I've posted, but life has been happening swiftly after graduation. I will be updating you all on what's been going on, but today I have a very exciting post! +Influenster has blessed me yet again with another complimentary VoxBox! I was given the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD VoxBox!  I was so excited to receive this box because it comes with the MUFE Ultra HD Foundation.
Who doesn't love to try out new foundations?!
Keep reading it you want to find out what this foundation is all about!

The Color

I received the color Y365 Desert in the full 30 mL bottle. I also received two small samples in the color Y445 Amber and Y505 Cognac, which are a darker than my foundation shade. Desert was a great match to my skin. During the summertime I am a bit darker, so it did come off a bit lighter. I know that it will definitely be my go to foundation during the colder months because I am lighter in the wintertime. Amber and Cognac are beautiful colors to use for contouring on my skin tone. Amber being a bit lighter than cognac, but when mixed together, it creates a beautiful bronze contour! I have yellow undertones so naturally I would want a foundation with yellow undertones too. It matched perfectly!

The Application/Coverage

It applied effortlessly and beautifully! I applied it two ways, one being straight on with my beauty blender, and the other way with a foundation brush. Both worked well with this foundation. It was easy to blend out and it medium coverage, but is definitely build-able for a more full coverage look. I did my usual face prep like I always do before applying this foundation. I prefer painting on the foundation with a flat foundation brush and blending it out with my beauty blender. If I want a more full coverage look, then I will repeat the steps once more to build the product up without caking it on.

The Feel

I love the lightweight feel of this foundation. It reminds me a lot of my favorite foundation, Nars Sheer Glow, which gives a lightweight and dewy finish. It wasn't cakey or felt like it clogged my pores at all. It is always a good thing when a foundation gives you coverage but also allows your skin to breathe. Even when layering on more foundation, it still doesn't feel heavy on the skin! It feels natural on the skin and it didn't cause me to break out. I get nervous trying out new face products because my skin is sensitive, but I did not have to worry about it with this product!

The Finish

I have seen people say that it is "slippery" and slides on the face, because it is a more dewy finish rather than matte. I personally love this type of foundation because my skin is dry. If you have oily skin, you may want to use a matte primer and more powder to keep it from "slipping". The finish is beautiful and it gives my skin a bit of a glow to it! I finish my face up with my usual routine; contour, blush, highlight and I'm done!

Overall I really like this foundation and will be using it more in my daily routine during the wintertime! I feel that it will give my skin the glow I lack at times and give me that "'no-makeup' makeup look". If I wanted a more full coverage beat, then I'll just add more foundation and I'm ready to take on the night!
I hope you enjoyed my thoughts on this product!

Hello everyone! It's finally Spring time! This past winter was definitely another brutal one. With the new season here, I just wanted to take some time to declutter and share with you all my go-to products from this Winter. I will be discussing beauty products, from skincare to makeup and more. Hope you enjoy!

Skincare

  1. FAB Ultra Repair Cream 'Intense Hydration' and 'Intense Therapy' and minis
  2. FAB Ultra Repair Lip Therapy
  3. Fresh Sugar Lip Balm
I have been raving about +firstaidbeauty to everyone and anyone. I first discovered them when my sister gifted me a moisturizer two Christmases ago. Their website claims "First Aid Beauty skin care products and makeup target specific skin issues such as eczema, anti-aging, dry skin, and acne while being safe for sensitive skin." Basically targeting all of my problem areas! I have very, very dry, crackling winter skin due to my eczema, yet my skin is also sensitive at the same time. I have been using their facial creams all winter and it has helped my skin so much with battling winter crackling. I loved them so much that I went out to buy mini travel sized ones!
I tend to have very dry lips as well because that it where my eczema is most prominent. I have been loving the FAB lip therapy as well as the Fresh Sugar lip balm. Both are very moisturizing without being too sticky or tacky.

Beauty

  1. +Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer
  2. +Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in 'Custard'
  3. +Tarte 'Smooth Operator' Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder
I always use pore minimizing primers because my pores are huge craters! I love this one and have been using this over my usual Benefit pore minimizer.
I finally gave into the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer hype! I sometimes have dry skin under my eyes due to my eczema, and concealers tend to crack underneath my eye and crease really badly. This concealer was full coverage without the cakiness!
I usually love baking under my eyes after I apply concealer, but my skin there has been especially dry. I found that using the Tarte finishing powder is perfect to set my under eye concealer. It doesn't cake, and is lightweight.
These products I bought in the mini size because I wanted to test them out before buying the full sized product. A good tip when you want to try out something new!

  1. +Hourglass 'Luminous Bronze Light' Bronzer
  2. +Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in 'Paaarty'
  3. +Hourglass 'Luminous Light' Highlight

I usually use matte bronzers as my contour, but I have been using this Hourglass bronzer a lot. I accidentally bought this because I thought it was a highlight (I mean can you blame me? Why is the highlight in the brown packaging and the bronzer in the gold packaging?!) I really like this bronzer because it really warms up my face and gives me a glow that I usually lose in the winter months.
This blush is perfect to pair with the Hourglass bronzer. I have a rule that if I wear a shimmery bronzer, I wear a matte blush. If I were to use a matte contour, then I can use a blush with more shimmer in it. This blush is the perfect color on my skin tone and gives my face a nice natural flush.
I fell in love with this highlight in the winter because my skin gets very, very pale and it was very complimentary with my skin tone. I usually use very golden highlights, but when I am not tan, I find light, champagne colors to look very lovely.

  1. KISS Lash Glue
  2. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
  3. Hourglass GIRL Lip Stylo in 'Believer'
  4. MAC Cremestick Liner in 'Beurre'
I am still trying to perfect my lash routine and applying strip lashes can be quite annoying. I found that this KISS glue dries quickly, clear, and keeps my lashes on all day. It gives my lashes a natural look because it doesn't dry on clumpy.
I have been taking a break on the dramatic wing liner look, but when I wanted to start wearing that again and I found that KVD's Tattoo Liner gives me the perfect wing and is super black.
Call me basic, but I have been wearing nude lips every single day this winter. The past couple of winters I was wearing very dark, sultry, burgundy lippies, but I wasn't feeling it this past season. I picked up this gorgeous nude lipstick from Hourglass and have been using it every other day!
This liner has not only been my winter fav, but my all time favorite liner ever! I use it with so many different nudes, from Whirl to Velvet Teddy from MAC. I found that I have been pairing it with the GIRL Lip Stylo in 'Believer' a lot!

Scents

  1. +Marc Jacobs Beauty 'Daisy' Perfume
  2. Scentsational Candle in 'Winter Nights"
If you know me, you'd know I am obsessed with smelling good. I have always loved Marc Jacob's Daisy, and although it is a more florally spring scent, I thought it gave a nice vibrant smell to the drab winters.
Although this is not beauty, it does go with scents. I love candles and always have one lit in my room to calm me down and relax. This candle is in 'Winter Nights' and it definitely gave a beautiful warm, cozy scent to the room.

I hope you enjoyed my winter beauty favorites!
What were some of your go-to products this past season?
I can't wait to tweak my beauty routine up with the warm weather!
Hope you all have a great day!

Hi loves! I wanted to do a new series of skin-care blog posts that go live on Sundays. Now I wouldn't have a post for every Sunday, but maybe once a month. I wanted to do this because as much as I love makeup, I feel that skin-care is an important part of it. I always feel better about putting on make up when I have a clear and clean foundation to put it on. And as much as I wear makeup, it is always good to give my skin some TLC. Enjoy!

Today's post will be my first impression and review on the infamous Glam Glow mask. I purchased the "Youth Mud tingle-exfoliate treatment mask" from BeautyKind and was given a discount code from @macdesertrose on Twitter for $25 off. The price of the mask was $69 and with the discount, free shipping, and no added tax, it came out to be $44. What I loved about ordering from BeautyKind is that a percentage of my purchase went to a cause of my choice, and I decided to donate to the American Diabetes Association. My order also included three free samples of Juara cleaners, moisturizer, and eye creme, which I am also excited to use!

There are may different ranges of the Glam Glow mask depending on your skin's needs. I got this mask in particular because it claims to brighten dull skin and make it softer and smoother. I felt that my skin has been dull this past winter, so I wanted something to bring back my glow.

The mask takes about 10-15 minutes to dry and has a gritty texture to it. When it dries, you apply water and rub it out and use it to exfoliate any dead skin, then wash it off. I loved how exfoliating it is because I feel that it rubs off the dull, dead skin and leaves my skin much brighter. There isn't a whole lot of product in the jars, and for the price, it is quite expensive. But I really love the feel and results of this product and may even try out the other ones in the Glam Glow line. All in all, I really enjoyed this mask and would definitely re-purchase when I run out!

I hope you enjoyed my mini review on this mask! I hope this inspires you all to make sure you take some time out of your busy lives to give your skin some TLC and relaxation time. Stress shows on your face, so kick back on a Sunday afternoon, make yourself some tea, and put on a face mask!
