Hi loves! Just wanted to share my recent visit to Clydz, a restaurant here in New Brunswick. I went to happy hour here with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed the food and drinks they had. The drinks on the happy hour menu were $7.50 and the happy hour bites were $6. Pretty LIT. I love that they had an array of different happy hours drinks and they were STRONG. They were all specialty drinks and not just the basic margaritas/mojitos (which I also love) or some beers.
I would definitely go back and have already recommended this place to some friends already
Click here if you want to check out the Happy Hour Menu!

The Drinks:

 White Sangria
(Amaretto, apricot brandy, Cointreau, mango juice, Champagne)

Pear Brandy Sidecar
(Pear brandy, Cointreau, apple liqueur, lemon, orange juice)

Raspberry Sorbet
(Chambord, raspberry or citrus vodka, cranberry, lime)

Creamsicle
(Cointreau, Licor 43, orange & vanilla vodka, ice cream)

Some of the drinks (the Raspberry Sorbet and Creamsicle) came with extra, (as pictured with the shaker), to complete a full serving of your drink, so you definitely got your money's worth!

The Food:

Crispy Calamari
(with tomato basil sauce)

Creamy Kale & Spinach Dip
(served with pita bread, this is a cold dip)

Duck Confit Deviled Eggs
(with chipotle aioli)

BBQ Short Rib Sliders with French Fries
(comes with cheddar cheese and caramelized onions)

I was definitely full after eating all of this! Everything was so good and we even befriended a nice couple there that let us try some of their Alligator in a Blanket...Yes.. we tried Alligator! It was actually very tasty! We enjoyed our night here and I look forward to coming back!
I hope you enjoyed some of this #FoodPorn!

Hi Loves! Today I have a special Fashion Nova Haul & Lookbook! Fashion Nova (FN) definitely has become a big hit amongst both celebrities and Instagram popular pages. I finally gave into the hype and ordered some items that caught my eye and wanted to share what I thought of everything. Everything I purchased was discounted because FN has coupon codes and sales all the time. The main site tells you when they are having sales and what codes to use, so be sure to use them before checking out! Follow me on my social media accounts to stay in touch and to see when my blogs go live!

Outfit #1

This first look is a bit different and edgy for my style, but I love it. The top (from FN) has that "rockband" look and has slits on the side and the top is cut into a v-neck. I paired this top with black jeans that I also got from FN. They are high-waisted black jeans with two slits at the knees and are incredibly flattering and comfortable! FN is known and promotes its jeans the most, which is notoriously known to be flattering on anyone, especially the curvy ladies. I got these in a size 9 and they fit perfectly. One complaint that I do have is that I ordered another pair of pants, blue jeans, also in a size 9, but they were a bit snug, so I ended up returning them. The shoes I wore are some black heeled boots that I got from Target (got them on sale for $20!).

Outfit #2

I think this is the perfect outfit for a date night or to a nice dinner party! I love the look of this crisp white top (from FN) and it is a nice twist on the traditional white blouse. It has a deep v-neck with a collar connecting a line straight down the cleavage area. I prefer safety pinning it a bit to make it a little more flattering and not drop too low so that I could still wear a bra with it. The sleeves are nice and loose but not sloppy. The bottom of the shirt is cinched in at a not so flattering length, so this is definitely a shirt I would prefer tucked into a skirt, like I have pictured. The skirt is from Nora Chanel, previously Shop Nora Zola, and the outfit is paired with the same Target booties.

Outfit #3

The third top I purchased was this beautiful high-low, distressed, mustard sweater. I was drawn to this top because of the color, but also how different the cut of it was. It has distressed detailing and even has pockets on the side! I find it quite flattering tucked in the front slightly. I styled it with a black lace-up skirt from Forever 21 and the Target booties. I also paired it with the FN jeans that I got, which was also a very nice look!

Outfit #4

My final purchase was this beautiful off-white sweater dress from FN. It has a lace up detailing along the side of it and you can tie it was the end. It is so comfy and I love wearing it with my Nora Chanel over the knee boots. The material is great and definitely will keep you warm, but I do suggest layering underneath because the sweater is quite porous. When I wore this outfit out, I layered it with a white cami and a lace skirt. It was nice because the lace peeked out underneath and on the sides and I found it very flattering!

Hi loves! I wanted to start a monthly 'Plan With Me' series which includes how I set up and organize my monthly planners, how I decorate, and how I keep myself on track with daily tasks. This is inspired by one of my favorite YouTubers, Charmaine Dulak. She is always posting Planner Inspos and even sells stickers herself, so be sure to check her out! Because I was on a mental and spiritual vacation away from my responsibilities and obligations, I didn't start my planner yet for the New Year. I want to start implementing this series sometime during the first week of each month. I was still trying to get myself together for the New Year, so please bear with me! I will be giving tips, advice, and more on how to customize and make your planner your very own.
Join me in seeing how I set up my January 2017 planner!

From left to right:

  1. Mini Binder that I decorated and set up myself from Target ($3 for binder alone)
  2. Monthly Calendar on clipboard from Target ($3)
  3. 2017 Planner with year round inserts from Marshalls ($10)

I decorated the clipboard calendar with stickers from 'The Happy Planner' showing which days I have meetings, appointments, and birthday reminders. I tend to use stickers a lot because they stand out and remind me what days should be prioritized and remembered. With that, I filled in my to-dos and added some silver glitter Washi Tape (I got a set from A.C. Moore with every color for $5!) for a pop of color. The clipboard calendar will be what stays on my desk in my apartment so that every time I sit down, I have a bit of an overview of the month I have ahead.

I usually do my planning on my gold and white striped binder that I got from Target (as pictured to the right). I customize it myself using Personal Planner Printables from Scattered Squirrel (link)! She has an array of sizes and designs for personal use and I love customizing what fits my mood that month. She even has things like daily planners, home management, time management, and even holiday planners available. I never bought planners that came with inserts because of the lack of personalization, but I was drawn to the blue planner (pictured on the left) because it still had that ring-binder feel so that I could replace some inserts as I please. It also had pockets and a pen holder on the side. I never get big planners because I also like to carry a purse and personal sized planners fit better in my handbags.

This is the inside of the blue planner! It came with 12-month inserts, but it was bulky and I tend to only put up 2 months at a time, so currently months January and February are inside. I love the slots and the little areas I can put papers, notes, and paper clips as well as a pen holder (which is a big plus for me). I put on some cute paper clips and a binder clip that I got from a Target set for $3. Target has been stepping their planner game up, and do NOT sleep on the Target Dollar Spot!! I also put a picture of me and my boyfriend just because it was cute! On the right side, you will see a sticky note set that I hole-punched to fit in. My only complaint about this planner that it is a 6-hole binder as opposed to a 3-hole, but it's not a big deal.

In the back slot of the planner, I have a 'Today's To-Dos' insert that I got off of amazon. It comes in a book and you can tear it out. I keep this in the front to keep me in check on the daily tasks I have to accomplish for the day. From things to do, things to buy, what I ate, and even managing my water intake, I find it very helpful!

For January, I just put in some errands and obligations I have to do for the month. I make sure to color coordinate my school responisibilites from my personal/home obligations. Again, I used stickers from 'The Happy Planner', which you can purchase from craft stores such as A.C.Moore, Micheals, Hobby Lobby, etc. I love adding little motivational stickers to my monthly planners. I added some Washi Tape just because I love glitter, hehe. When school actually starts, my months will look a lot more hectic than this!

So this is my final, finished product so far! I find that taking time out at the beginning of the month to sit down and organize everything helps make the month go by a lot more smoothly. Before I used to plan on paper, I would just put everything on my phone and I found that I would forget assignments and do things very last minute. This way, you have the whole picture of what your month will look like and it will help you prepare for the days to come!
Thank you for joining me and I hope this post has been helpful!
